Nolan is a PhD student in the Biomedical and Health Informatics program at the UW where his focus is in the area of neuroinformatics, which lays at the intersection of neuroscience and information science. His current efforts include work on developing an API to facilitate data discovery, sharing, and distributed computation of open-access resting state fMRI data. He is also designing an IBIC data sharing plan for projects funded under a recent ARRA grant, and enjoys thinking about the future prospects of Open eNeuroscience.
