Research Interests
My research program is a synthesis of imaging technology and cognitive neuroscience, using I am a behavioral neurologist and cognitive neuroscientist with expertise in functional and structural imaging techniques to study the neural brain imaging. I am interested in a systems-level understanding of the basis of language processes and other aspects of cognitive function, in health and disease, and developing and validating new imaging methods for application to clinical populations. . I am specifically interested in the role of the left temporal lobe in lexical and semantic processing, as a paradigm for the operation of higher-order association cortex. I am also interested in the , and in the alterations of systems for lexical retrieval that accompany neurological disease, especially stroke, epilepsy and degenerative dementia. brain disease. I am also interested in developing and validating new imaging methods for application to clinical populations.
